We Support Special Olympics Athletes - Right Here in TV!
The Villagers Pickleball Trips Club is thrilled to announce our support for the Special Olympics athletes in The Villages, FL. We believe in the power of sports to bring people together and inspire greatness, and we are honored to have the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause. Our club members are committed to promoting inclusion and fostering a sense of community, and we look forward to working with the Special Olympics athletes to provide them with opportunities to play pickleball and have fun.
The Sumter County Special Olympics Pickleball team is thrilled to announce their inaugural year, and they're making waves! Comprised entirely of dedicated athletes from The Villages, this program has already seen remarkable growth, boasting over 30 enthusiastic participants. Weekly training sessions at Bradenton focus on fundamental skills like serving, returning, and rallying, as well as competitive play for more advanced athletes. The team's goal is not only to introduce the exciting sport of pickleball but also to foster a supportive and inclusive community for these special athletes. Volunteers are warmly welcomed to join this inspiring initiative. The team has already achieved significant milestones, including a strong showing at the regional competition and a first-place finish at the state competition, securing a spot at the upcoming finals in Disney World Orlando.
